Snap Happy Bag with LynnDee Saturday, May 30 10:00-1:00
We are going to be offering several one session classes through the summer of practical, useful items that you can start and finish in one session. We will be offering these classes on Saturdays from 10:00-1:00. Cost for these classes is $10 each. The first one of these sessions is the Snap Happy Bag with LynnDee. This is the class version of the April Bernina Club. LynnDee will help you make this cute little bag that snaps shut neatly at the top so that you don't lose anything out. It makes a great bag for carrying many things and can be made in a variety of sizes. The secret to the snap top is a carpenter's tape measure. So come and see how these are done and you won't be able to make just one!!
Confetti Jacket with LynnDee
Thursdays, June 4, 11, 18 & 25 10:00-4:00
This wonderful quilted jacket uses a variety of techniques. This is a great class for getting to know what your machine can do and taking advantage of many of the decorative stitches that are on your machine. It also exposes you to all of the different feet that came with your machine and some that didn't. The jacket is made by making several different "mini quilts" that you then cut your pattern pieces from. LynnDee will help you size your pattern so that your jacket will have the best possible fit. We love the look of the jacket done using batiks but you can use any fabric that you choose and we're glad to help. The sample is here in the shop if you haven't had a chance to see it. Cost for this class is $35 plus supplies.
Kid's Pillowcase Class
Friday, June 19 10:00-12:00
We will be offering a Kid's Pillowcase class for any kids ages 9 and up that are interested in learning to sew. The class is $25 and includes a pre-cut pillowcase kit that will be ready to sew, there will be no cutting in class. We will have several fabric combinations available to choose from. This will be a short class from 10:00-12:00 on Friday June 19, but will give us a better idea on the interest of young sewers in our area.
Terry's Tote with LynnDee Saturday June 27 10:00-1:00
This cute little three color bag is from the book Happy Hour. This is a great little tote bag for your granddaughter to carry things to the beach this summer or as a book bag. So choose three coordinating fabrics and come join us for a fun filled Saturday! Cost for the class is $10 plus book.
